It all started in 2004, when our founder, Sean Carroll, first fell in love with the smell of sawdust and the art of woodworking in a high school shop class. Over the next two decades, Sean dedicated himself to mastering the meticulous, hands-on craft of custom furniture and cabinet making. But as he worked within the local market, he ran into a frustrating industry standard: homeowners seeking a custom kitchen were forced to choose between massive showroom markups or a chaotic process plagued by poor communication, cutting corners, and endless delays.
Sean knew there was a better way—one that didn’t require sacrificing the soul of traditional carpentry for efficiency. He set out to bridge the gap, evolving his passion into a modern-day manufacturing machine. By integrating disciplined lean manufacturing principles and smart design technology with time-honored woodworking techniques, Crafted Cabinetry was born.
